KACF is pleased to announce that Washington State Senator Paull Shin will be the Gala keynote speaker. As the U.S. and Korea commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, Senator Shin’s journey to the United States as an orphan adopted by an American soldier during the War has a particular resonance. His personal determination to not only survive but to thrive and lead is an example to all Korean Americans who have settled in this country, and to their children who have struggled to build lives that bridges two cultures.

We are excited to announce that KACF has been selected as one of 100 U.S.-based organizations to be guaranteed five entries in the world-renowned ING New York City Marathon on November 7, 2010. The five entries have been filled with competitive runners who have committed to run for KACF.
