Chief Administrative Officer, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
KACF is thrilled to confirm Martha Choe as the keynote speaker of the 2013 Annual Gala. We are particularly excited for her presence after Hurricane Sandy disrupted her ability to attend and address the 10th Anniversary Gala last fall.
As Chief Administrative Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Ms. Choe oversees the Human Resources, Grantee Partnership, Enterprise Project Management, Security, and Global Workplace Resource operations teams. She joined the foundation in 2004 as the Director of the Global Libraries initiative in the Global Development Program. Before joining the foundation, Ms. Choe served as the director of the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development. Prior to that, she was elected to two four-year terms on the Seattle City Council and was a vice president at the Bank of California Credit Administration, Commercial and Private Banking. She also taught high school in Eugene, Oregon.
Ms. Choe is a former chair of the White House Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islanders, and currently serves on the boards of The Seattle Foundation, CRAFT3, Gates Cambridge Trust and the Seattle Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
