Special Projects Grants

GRANT INFORMATION AND CRITERIA

  • Special Project Grants are one-time grants.
  • Organizations may request up to $5,000.
  • There is no specific submission deadline for SPG. Grant applications are accepted throughout the year.
  • Past SPG recipients are not eligible to apply.
  • Generally do not fund current KACF grantee partners.
  • Applicant organization must be a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization or have a fiscal sponsor that has a 501(c)3 designation.

GRANT PRIORITIES

KACF is particularly interested in projects that are:

  • Addressing emerging social service, organizing or advocacy needs in the Korean American community that is not currently funded through KACF general grants;
  • Seeking to engage both the Korean and non-Korean American communities on social justice issues; or
  • Exploring issues of Korean identity, culture, and diaspora.

FUNDING RESTRICTIONS

KACF does not provide Special Projects Grants for:

  • Individuals;
  • Capital fund projects;
  • Endowments;
  • Fundraising events;
  • Conferences;
  • Real estate purchases;
  • International organizations;
  • Public or private schools, colleges or universities;
  • Political causes or campaigns to elect candidates to public office; or
  • Programs that do not comply with Federal, state or local equal employment statues.

SUBMISSION

Click HERE to download a Special Projects Grants application form. A completed application form with the required attachments should be emailed in a PDF form to brennan@kacfny.org.

There is no specific submission deadline for SPG and grant applications are accepted throughout the year. Once an application is submitted, applicants will be notified of the status within 30 days.
